In January 2017, China published the "13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020) on general aviation", which mapped out a blueprint for “building 500 general aviation airports”. According to the Plan, by 2020 the future development of aviation industry is expected to reach 100 billion yuan ($15.3 billion) in terms of market size, with an incremental scale of more than 40 billion yuan ($6.1 billion). China's potential airport construction demand will exceed 2000, which reflects the high development potential of China’s aviation industry.
