Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport is a 4D main airport serving Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, Northwest China. With a 3,600-m runway, it is located at Zhongchuan Town in Yongdeng County. Higher than 4,411 meters above sea level, the plateau airport is one of the hub airports in Northwest China and a domestic main airport. Located in Lanzhou, a developed city in Northwest China, the airport is the first airport in the western region that was reorganized and expanded after the implementation of China’s Great Western Development Strategy. The Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport Phase-II Project is designed to handle 10 million passengers and 100,000 tons of cargo annually by 2020. Main construction contents include: 4D-level airfield area, lengthening the current runway and parallel taxiway by 400 m southward, building a new apron covering an area of 155,000 square meters and a terminal covering an area of 60,000 square meters, as well as constructing auxiliary facilities and public facilities.
