Airport Projects

      Wutaishan Airport will realize civil-military use along with an air force airport and will be expanded. Its airfield zone is designed in accordance with the 4C standard. Upon completion, the terminal building can handle 350,000 passengers of 1,570 tons of cargo annually. The investment is expected to reach nearly 500 million RMB. The airport is located on the shore of Hutuo River in the vast Xinding Basin, connecting expressways to Hebei, Inner Mongolia and Shaanxi that are under construction and linked with expressways from Taiyuan to Datong. In terms of the extension project of Wutaishan Airport, Airspace Industry Corporation of China won the bid regarding procurement of navigation, meteorology, airport control and security-check equipment, with the bid-winning amount reaching nearly 20.15 million RMB.
